Milos Breeze Boutique Hotel
Sitting pretty and peacefully atop a headland above the sleepy and authentic village of Pollonia, Milos Breeze is a secluded, Cycladic slice of paradise on Milos, the island of mythical landscapes and wondrous beaches.
Milos Breeze has its priorities straight by looking after the chics with a firm focus on wellness – all within the rugged natural beauty of Milos. The staff here urge guests to slow way down and take stock of the simple pleasures, be it a view of the Aegean from your bedroom, catching up on that novel poolside, or lingering over drinks with a loved one. But, we enjoy Milos Breeze’s less simple pleasures too, say the glittering heated infinity pool which surveys the bay below and the relaxing alfresco seating area, and the newest addition to Hotel, the spa pool is a true one-off. When it comes to island pampering, Milos Breeze ranks high in the pecking order.
It is one of the islands larger luxury hotels and it has been specially designed to ensure that guests embrace that barefoot, laidback Greek island lifestyle. With the most epic unobstructed views of the sparkling Aegean and the nearby islands, Milos Breeze is a magical retreat and is the ideal base for you to explore this mesmerising island.
GETTING HERE
Milos has a port that connects to Athens and many other islands, so it’s the perfect jumping off point to spend a summer Greek Island hopping. We took the slow ferry directly from Santorini to Milos, with a few stops along the way. It took around 5 hours for us to reach Milos’ port and our transfer to Milos Breeze collected us.and drove to Milos Breeze, which took approximately 15 minutes. You can opt for the fast ferry, which will take just over 2 hours, but the longer ferry was our only option during this time.
If you’ve flown into Athens, you can either take the ferry from the main port of Athens (Piraeus) or fly directly to Plaka from Athens. There are also daily ferries from Athens to Milos all year round, so if time permits, I would highly recommend the ferry, as it is a comfortable, hassle free and convenient journey. Airport shuttle transportation can be arranged upon charge, while free, on-site parking is provided.
LOCATION & EXPLORING THE ISLAND
The best way to experience any of the Greek Islands is definitely by ATV. That’s about all you need for Milos to be yours to explore! It takes a mere four minutes to reach the town’s tamarisk-lined beach of Pollonia on foot, while moonscape-like Sarakiniko is just a 12 minute drive away. The long, sandy Firiplaka Beach is 30 minutes away; the colourful and vibrant fishing village of Klima is just 13km away; and the atmospheric stone-built capital Plaka, built amphitheatrically on a hill, lies 12.5km away from Milos Breeze. Milos Breeze can arrange for an ATV to be delivered to the hotel for you and the costs range from 30-35 Euros for a day.
SUITES & ACCOMMODATIONS
Milos Breeze is loyal to the island’s traditions; whitewashed Cycladic architecture, handmade adornments, basket-woven accents and light pendants, and pretty blue-tiles. With 23 rooms and suites, each is air-conditioned and cleanly designed, with either a balcony or large terrace overlooking the sea and Pollonia below. Some of the rooms feature
For the best sea-and-sunset views in the house, opt for the Exclusive room with a private pool and sea views, which enjoy a prime perch with a private pool and the panoramas to match - but you’d be hard pressed to pick a dud room at Milos Breeze. We spent two nights in the Exclusive room, and it perfectly reflected the laid-back island feel of Milos that we fell in love with. The room was decorated in tones of white and blue-grey with natural wood furnishings, and light blue shutters which revealed unobstructed views of the Aegean and capture the rocky natural beauty of the island.
DINING OPTIONS
Wake up every morning to the taste of a traditional Greek breakfast, complete with Greek yoghurt and organic, biological honey and the local delicacies of the island. Breakfast at Milos Breeze is served on the spacious veranda, or can be served on the terrace of your room.
While there is no dinner service provided at the hotel, Milos Breeze is within easy walking distance to many local restaurants in Pollonia, all of which serve classic Greek cuisine.
WHY WE LOVED IT
ACCOMMODATION: Each of the charming rooms boasts either a private terrace or a balcony with sensational views overlooking Pollonia below. You can’t go wrong.

PEACEFUL: Milos Breeze welcomes children aged 14 and over, allowing for a relaxing and peaceful retreat.
